A Greek study that tracked 23,000 people over six years found that those who regularly indulged in a siesta had a 37 percent lower risk of coronary death than those who didn’t. So my cats have had the right idea all along: naps are good. The “eat like a Greek” thing here is just another excuse for me to bring up the Mediterranean “diet”. It’s all about lots of veggies, whole grains, fish, olive oil, a glass of wine here and there, and it tastes good. It’s not really a “diet” which is why I like this approach. Food should be a source of enjoyment, not anxiety.
