Yoga has become increasingly popular over the past several years. Many people have seen yoga classes advertised at their local gym or at a local yoga studio. Most people think of yoga as a form of stretching exercise with a spiritual component. In India, yoga is far more than a simple stretching exercise and is incorporated into daily physical, mental and spiritual practice. Yoga was traditionally taught as a one on one student-teacher relationship. Group classes are the norm in the US, but often make it difficult for people with chronic health issues to participate safely. Our classes are designed to adhere more to the individual teaching tradition of yoga practice by maintaining small classes with hands on instruction. We are also offering private instruction by appointment. Yoga practice can provide excellent health benefits for those with chronic disease and pain conditions while also enhancing general body health.
