Domenic Thomas - M.S.O.M., L.Ac.
President / Owner

Domenic enrolled at SAMRA University in Los Angeles and earned a full tuition scholarship to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. He went on to graduate with a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine in 2001.

At SAMRA he was fortunate to study under some of the brightest Chinese, Japanese, and Korean professors in the science of oriental medical diagnosis, acupuncture, and herbology. Domenic also studied optional advanced coursework in Chinese herbal theory, diagnosis, and massage therapy.

After leaving SAMRA, Domenic moved to New York City for a position at a physical rehabilitation clinic in Bronx, NY where he was able to perform over 5,000 acupuncture visits in his first year of practice. After his extensive clinical experience in New York, Domenic decided to re-locate to Baltimore, MD and opened his current practice in February of 2003, specializing in obstetrics, pregnancy support, physical medicine, and pain management.

Donna Degnan, L.Ac.

Donna Degnan earned her Acupuncture degree from the New York College of Health Professions, is Nationally Board Certified from NCCAOM and is licensed in the States of MD and NY.  In addition, Donna has a B.A in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Education and has also completed training at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University and is now a Certified Health Counselor.  Working in a busy Medical Office for the last several years Donna has utilized this training to successfully treat a vast array of medical conditions.  Donna specializes in helping her patients manage stress and develop a healthier lifestyle in order to minimize or heal from medical conditions such as:  infertility, gastro-intestinal disorders, eating, emotional and sleep disorders, muscle pain/tension, adrenal fatigue, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, pain management and PTSD.  

Other educational training:
Donna continued her post-graduate degree by studying Pathophysiology, 36 Classical Needle Techniques and a year of Medical Qi Gong at the Institute of Classical Asian Studies (ICAS). In 2009 Donna completed her training at the Lincoln Recovery Center in NY and is certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.  This method is currently being used by the US military for treatment of PTSD for active military and veterans. Donna has been practicing Reiki for many years and has completed her Reiki Master level training. 

Aubry Fisher , L.Ac.

Aubry Fisher is a licensed acupuncturist and board certified herbalist. She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine with academic honors from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, one of the nation's leading schools for acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative medicine.

Aubry first became interested in acupuncture and Oriental medicine while working in the legal field as a personal injury paralegal. During this time, she worked with numerous individuals suffering from debilitating physical trauma and chronic pain. Aubry began researching alternative health care modalities as a means to address the unique needs of her clients. Through her research, she discovered a passion for the healing arts and ultimately decided to pursue her desire to help others through holistic medicine.

Aubry treats a wide variety of conditions stemming from emotional, physical, and spiritual disharmonies that manifest in chronic pain, digestive disorders, skin problems, respiratory complications, insomnia, depression, male and female reproductive disorders, and orthopedic injuries. Furthermore, she believes in empowering her patients to take a proactive role in their own health by counseling them in diet, exercise, meditations, and other lifestyle changes.

In her free time, Aubry enjoys spending time with her husband and kitten, making a mess in her kitchen, knitting slightly irregular winter accessories, and partaking in the arts and culture of Maryland. She is looking forward to becoming an aunt in June of 2014.

William Zvarick, L.Ac.

William Zvarick, L.Ac.

Bill Zvarick, L.Ac. completed his acupuncture studies at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition he has studied acupressure with Michael Reed Gach through the Acupressure Institute at Berkeley, California, and massage at the Baltimore School of Massage.

He has extensive experience in massage and acupressure, working with a wide range of skeleto-muscular conditions, and he utilizes these modalities together with acupuncture to address patients' health issues on multiple levels.

Mr. Zvarick also treats a wide range of other conditions, including migraines, depression, anxiety, infertility, digestive disorders and immune disorders.

Karisa Grudi

Karisa Grudi - L.Ac.

Karisa Grudi is a state licensed acupuncturist in Maryland and Virginia and a nationally board-certified Chinese herbalist. She holds a 4-year Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. She is also a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Karisa’s passion for acupuncture and oriental medicine coupled with her ongoing research in the fields of natural health and nutrition has inspired her to educate, empower, and motivate her patients to take control of their own health and strive for a state of well-being. Her focus is in treating fertility issues as well as an extensive variety of conditions including weight management, digestive disorders, smoking cessation and pain management.

Maria Kimos, CMT, CPT

Maria is a graduate of Baltimore school of Massage and has been a certified massage therapist in Maryland for over 12 years. She is nationally certified in bodywork through the National Cerification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Maria's expertise lies in deep tissue massage, sports/ injury related massage, Swedish massage, and certified in prenatal & peri-natal massage.

Maria is also a Certified Personal Trainer.

Dave Blake

Dave's "Soul purpose" is to help others redefine their story by evaluating current conditions discovering alternatives and engaging solutions.

Dave grew up in a challenging personal environment, one of dysfunction, abuse and addiction. This environment led to patterns of self destructive behavior in his early adult life. The realization that the past doesn’t define your character inspires him to share his life experiences and insight with others. Dave is committed to ongoing change in his own life and believes simple changes on a daily basis offer us an opportunity to live healthy, happy and successful lives. Dave brings a unique sense of humor and a fresh outlook to help others practice self awareness and fulfillment.

Dave has served as the general manager of a large corporation for over 10 years. His leadership and insight into managing groups of people is one of the driving influences behind forming The Alive Community .
